STORY

The communist utopia without disease and aging has many dark sides. Metakarma, the subconscious operating supersystem on which the stable society of long-livers is built, has become a window into a world of horror and extraordinary psychic deviations.

At the center of the narrative is Rain, one of the five nullified, who has received a mysterious message from his past self. The main clue to the memories is an almost unbreakable Metakarma. Rain resorts to the one and most dangerous method of hacking, called unregimentation. Where will the search for truth lead? How quickly will Rain go crazy? Can he make one of the three psychopaths fall in love with him? That's up to you.

CHARACTERS

[RAIN] The protagonist. A quintessential 'go-with-the-flow' type aka a life-waster. He has a knack for finding backdoors in metasystems, which he frequently exploits. At some point, he realizes that he had a goal, and its pursuit continues to this day despite memory wipes. What did past-Rain desire, and is it worth completing what he started?

[GREY] A mortido girl who tries to end herself at any and every opportunity. She exhibits pathological indifference to the values of those around her but skillfully mimics friendship, camaraderie, and other forms of social interaction. Immune to the effects of metacubes and likely simulating amnesia. Rain suspects she has been nullified more than once. She keeps a real, live honey badger as a pet. Likely dangerous to those around her.

[AMY] A capricious pseudo-loli with a complicated mental state. Always smiling, with a friendly and positive attitude. The only one among the group who has entered 'adult' life, working as a memory operator in the capital for several years. Enjoys experimenting ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Persistently tries to get close to Rain, believing for some reason that they were close before the reset.

[RITA] The head of the student council and a secret otaku. She wants to create her own visual novel about Japanese high school students (so you could read a visual novel while reading a visual novel). Runs a popular communistic blog. Constantly looks tired and clearly suffers from lack of sleep. Extremely shy, almost to the point of fainting around the opposite sex (but it’s fine for her). Beneath her exemplary behavior and party activism, there are surely a few skeletons in her closet.


[SIN] This guy seems to have stepped out of the pages of a Japanese yaoi manga. He is the object of intense adoration among his female classmates but doesn’t pay much attention to it. Perhaps, the bishounen playboy is not really a 'boy' at all. Noted for his unhealthy obsession with tight leather clothing, conspiracy theories, and firearms. Lives next to Grey.


[CLAYTON] A reclusive, brooding genius who hasn’t left his apartment-laboratory for weeks. Possesses the highest IQ in the Faculty of Unconscious Decoding. What exactly he is trying to invent is unknown even to his curator. Like a grey cardinal, he attempts to subtly influence the lives of the other nullified individuals from a distance.
